Central University of Haryana 

The Central University of Haryana, in the Janet-Pali village, Mahendragarh district of Haryana, India, has been established by an Act of Parliament: "The Central Universities Act, 2009" by the Government of India. The territorial jurisdiction of the Central University of Haryana is for the whole of Haryana. The 1st Convocation of the University was held on 1 March 2014. It is one of the 15 Central Universities established by the MHRD, GoI. 

The university operates from the campus in Janet-Pali village, Mahendergarh 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) away from Mahendergarh on the Mahendragarh-Bhiwani road. Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar is the current vice-chancellor of the Institute. 

The Central University of Haryana is one of the 15 new Central Universities established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India (GoI) in XI 5 Year Plan (2007-2012) under the Central University Act-2009 of the Parliament. 

The Institute has been accredited with ‘A’ Grade in the first cycle of the NAAC assessment and accreditation conducted in March 2017. The University is fully funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Permanent Campus of the University is situated in 488 acres area of land at Jant-Pali Villages, Mahendergarh district of the Haryana from where CUH is running its academic operations. Presently the University offers 72 academic programs (UG/PG/Research). 

A Union University or Central University in the India is established by the Department of Higher Education, normally by the Act of Parliament, unlike most institutes which are established by the state governments. This institute was established under 12 more proposed Central Universities in Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu in the year 2009 through an Act of Parliament: "The Central Universities Act, 2009" by the Government of India. The Central Universities Bill 2009 aims at creating the one new central university each in Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. It also seeks to convert the Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya in Chhattisgarh, Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya in Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) and Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in Uttarakhand into the Central universities.

Library System

Central University of Haryana Library System is having more than 20866 volumes in the various subjects to serve the academic community. We have advanced our web activity with the INFLIBNET subscription of 8500 high quality e-Journals being made available through the campus network to teachers, candidates and research scholars. CUHL also promotes Open Access e-resources. University Library endeavors to further improve all its efforts to facilitate the right information to the right users at the right time. 

Collection

The library collection consists of the Books (with Dust free Compactor), Reference Books, Text Books, Print Journals, Newspapers, E-Journals and Databases, and CD ROM/DVDs. 

Transport Facility

The Institute owns 2 buses which are used for the following purposes:

To carry the candidates for the industrial visits to various Industries as per the syllabus.

To transport candidates from the hostels to new academic blocks from 08.45 a.m. to 05.45 p.m. after an interval of every 15 minutes.

Transportation of candidates to Library or Departments on Saturday and Sundays. 

The Blueprint and the Roadmap for the Future

To put the university on a high growth trajectory for achieving excellence in the academics, research and innovations, University leadership has charted out the holistic roadmap to be pursued in the coming years. 

Establishment of the Institute Development Corpus Fund to create a corpus for funding, supporting and sustaining academic and research initiatives of various in- house Centres and Institutes, faculty members, research scholars and candidates. The corpus will involve generation of funds from but not restricted to:

Grant from International bodies under their social and academic initiatives

Special initiatives and programs for the differently-abled and disadvantaged candidates to realise the vision of inclusive quality education. All efforts shall be made to make the campus differently-abled and disadvantaged-friendly as per the requirements and guidelines of the Government of India. A duly constituted special cell shall initiate affirmative action and monitoring of the progress of all such programs towards equal opportunity to all the candidates even for exploring the possibilities to create and generate employment opportunities. Grants and aid will also be provided to the deserving candidates for enhancing their employability skills.

Equal Opportunity Cell will ensure that all the sections of the candidates are provided appropriate support; and special initiatives will be undertaken for the bringing candidates of the backward and underprivileged sections at par with others to offer them a level playing field for competition.
